Ms. Sasser - L-Z
Hello, my name is Ms. Sasser. This is my third year as a school counselor at Skyline Middle School and I’ll be working with those students who have a last name starting with the letters L through Z. I am very excited to see all of you again and meet our new students too! I am here to help you achieve the best middle school experience possible, whether in-school or on-line!
Here’s a bit of information about me: I earned my bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and my master’s degree from Liberty University. Some of the hobbies and activities I enjoy are reading, listening to country music, working out, snow skiing, horseback riding, and zip lining. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoy watching William Byron racing to the finish line in NASCAR racing. Aside from all that, I like spending time with my family and friends.

What Counselors Do
Between the pressure of making friends, learning to balance family with a desire for independence, enduring rapid growth spurts, experiencing the effects of puberty, being constantly connected via social media platforms, and much more, today’s middle schoolers face more challenges than ever before. School counselors are trained in areas such as adolescent development, self-management, social skills, and learning strategies to help with these specific areas of need in your middle school student.
School Counselors offer a listening ear, emergency response services, peer mediation, conflict resolution, parent consultation, and complete referrals to numerous resources in the area to help meet your child’s unique needs. We look forward to working with you and your student!
